Hear ye, hear ye, all and sundry!

Be it known unto folk of good will, and unto travellers that by hap have wandered hither, that urbi et orbi it is proclaimed: the feast and muster of the ladies and gallants of the Order of the C64, hight Party Moonshine Dragons, shall be held from the 29th unto the 31st day of May, in the Year of Our Lord (Anno Domini) 2026.

A most excellent Demoparty in honour of the Commodore C64 shall it be, wherein we shall extol the glory of pixels and the SID’s sweet chant. Yet heathen and reprobate from other household engines and curious devices shall be right welcome and well received, so they keep seemly manners and show the craft that is in them.

Shamans and Spirits are hereby summoned, that with their virtue they may uphold us, watch over cables and power-bricks, chase away all interference, and wipe the errors from memory. Let the Moonshine Dragons be patrons of this assembly, that by night inspirations leap forth like fire from their jaws, and by day sober reason set our code in order.

Whoso hath a bold heart, a steady hand, and a spirit disposed to the art of demos and to chip-music, let him come with no delay unto this solemn merriment. This is given and sealed by the herald’s own hand, that all may know it and none plead ignorance. Deo gratias — and may the pixels favour you!

Moreover be it further published and made known, that a certain person, who aforetime with harsh and waspish words did befoul this fellowship, and for just cause was cast into banishment, by our mercy receiveth conditional grace.

Let him, to whom this speech is addressed, well understand: the gates shall stand open, yet only upon oath to keep honourable carriage, a bridled tongue, and a heart purged of ill gall. Foul libels, slanders, and the casting of mire—albeit in figure—are straitly forbidden; and whoso doeth the same shall forthwith be led out and sent again into perpetual ban, without right of appeal.

Let him remember that in the House of the Moonshine Dragons each shall be as a knight, not as a hind; as a worthy man, not as a swine. But whoso keepeth peace and brotherhood, to him our grace shall abide, and our common joy in the demos, to the glory of the C64, shall the more increase.
